Lenovo today unveiled their first ThinkPad W series that comes equipped with a USB 3.0 interface and a 16GB of DDR3 RAM. The Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds is powered by a Quad-core 2GHz Core i7 CPU with a Quadro FX 3800M for pro-level 3D rendering, a 160GB hard drive or a 128GB SSD, and a slide-out 10-inch secondary screen. The laptop’s 17-inch main display is 100 percent color-accurate thanks to the color sensor that automatically calibrates to different lighting environments. A standard model W701 starts at $2,199 for a quad 1.73GHz Core i7 CPU and a Quadro FX 2800M. Meanwhile, the high-end W701ds retails for $3,799.
